LONNIE WILSON EVANS
was born in Wayne County, Tennessee on June 17, 1926 the daughter of the late Lewis Edward and Fannie Bell McMahan Wilson.
On October 13, 1945 she was united in marriage to James William Evans, who preceded his wife in death on August 31, 2007.
Mrs. Evans retired after 30 years as a supervisor for Clifton Manufacturing. She also worked for Clinton Engineer Works in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Mrs. Evans was a member of Mt. Carmel Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and she was a very devoted wife. Mrs. Evans was also a great cook.
She departed this life on October 6, 2010 at the Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 84 years, 3 months and 19 days.
Mrs. Evans is survived by one daughter, Margie Lee Chappell and her husband Wayne of Columbia, Tennessee and one son, Jamie Paul Evans and his wife Dee of Grand Junction, Tennessee
4 grandchildren, Tony Devers, Amy Wilson, Kim Davis and Stacey Evans
8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by 3 sisters, Edith Patmore, Baxie Reeves and Ruby Wilson and one brother, Connie Wilson.
