Lonnie Ray Ferguson was born April 28, 1940 in Chester County, Tennessee the son of the late Dee and Lavonia McNeill Ferguson.
He was united in marriage to Faye Price on October 15, 1964.
Mr. Ferguson attended Chester County schools before moving to McNairy County. He was a self-employed contractor, and was a member of Gateway Holiness Chapel in Bethel Springs, TN. Mr. Ferguson enjoyed raising vegetables in his garden and playing gospel music on the guitar. He was a hard-working man who loved his family and friends and always tried to help others.
Mr. Ferguson departed this life on February 2, 2011 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 70 Years, 9 Months, 5 Days. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Faye Ferguson; a daughter, Angelia Ward and husband Richard; a son, Donnie Ferguson, all of Bethel Springs, TN; four grandchildren: Whitney Gage, Bryan Ferguson, Gage Ward, Brianna Ward; two great-grandchildren, Lexi and Noah; four sisters: Nadine Russom of Hornsby, TN, Sylvia Ingle and husband James of Bethel Springs, TN, June Cox of Hornsby, TN, Annette McDaniel and husband Troy of Bethel Springs, TN; three brothers: Prentice Ferguson and Roger Ferguson, both of Bethel Springs, TN, Harmon Ferguson and wife Shirley of Hornsby, TN; and many extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Ferguson was preceded in death by a sister, Addiese Smith; and two brothers, Quenton Ferguson and Ralph Ferguson.
