Lora Victory

Lora Horton Victory ,age 96, of Collinwood, TN departed this life on April 9, 2011 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, TN after a short illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy A. Victory, one infant daughter, Janie; one infant son, Jerry; son, Billy N. Victory, grandson, Robert A. Victory, sister, Clora Victory; brothers, Wayne, Robert, Paulk, Arch, Roy, Lonzo, and Claude Horton.
She is survived by three sons, Bobby Victory and wife, Madeline, William Victory and wife, Caroline, and Dennis Victory; two daughters, Betty Barnes and husband, Ronnie, and Sandra Lowery; nine grandchildren, Gina Julien, Jamie Barnes, Dawn Victory, Erica Smith, Shannon Lozano, Lora McCord, Amanda McKean, Jamie Lowery, and Keith Victory; fourteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dola Rich.
Not only was she a loving wife, mother, and grandmother but a friend to all. She was an avid reader and gardener as well as a wonderful cook. She leaves behind generations of family who will miss her dearly.
Services will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home in Collinwood, Tennessee, with John E. Banks officiating. Burial will follow in the Community Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, Florence, Alabama with Shackelford Funeral Directors directing. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Victory, Keith Victory, Jamie Lowery, Chris McCord, Harold Rich, Paul Horton.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 12, 2011 from 4 pm to 9 pm and Wednesday, April 13, 2011 from 9 am until service time at the funeral home.
