LORENE COLEY
Bemis, TN: Grayson Lorene Box Coley, age 85 passed away February 19, 2013 at Regional Hospital of Jackson.
She was born and reared in Rienzi, MS the daughter of the late Warren Franklin and Pink Benjamin Box. She attended school at Rienzi and married Amos F. Coley in 1949. They made their home in Peoria, IL for 16 years and moved to the Henderson and Jackson area in 1967. She worked at the Parkview Restaurant and the Truck Stop and then worked in production for Bendix Corporation which was later Allied Signal and retired in 1990.
Mr. Coley died in 2002. She made her home in Bemis since Mr. Coley’s death.
Mrs. Coley is survived by a son, Danny Coley and wife Susan of Pinson; a daughter, Kathy Wheat and husband Billy of Jackson; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren; four sisters, Ruth Matheney of Buena Vista, Margie Robertson of Selmer, Sarah Case of White Plains, GA and Diane Thomas of Brighton .
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Judy Coley, a grandson, Danny Coley, Jr., two brothers, Johnny Box and Paul Box and two sisters, Mildred Tyrus and Lois Evans.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Friday February 22, 2013 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Danny Rachel officiating and burial will follow in Cave Springs Cemetery in Chester County.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday.
