Services for Lorene Rich McFall, age 86 of Collinwood will be held on August 10, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Chapel in Collinwood with Dewayne Staggs and Ed Sharpe officiating. Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers are Ben McFall, Todd Byrum, David Layton, Dylan Layton, Justin Smith, and Jeremiah Low; Honorary pallbearers are Walker Layton, Jonbas Hathcoat, and Luke Hathcoat.
A native of Wayne County she was born April 13, 1924, the daughter of the late Dave M. and Gerdie Velma Holt Rich. Mrs. McFall departed this life Saturday, August 7, 2010 at her home near Collinwood. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McFall was preceded in death by her husband Ray McFall, brothers, Hoover, Ross, and Cemon Rich; and a sister, Evelyn Vickery. She was retired from Angelica and was a member of South Highland Church of Christ.
Mrs. Lorene enjoyed many things; she loved gardening, cooking, quilting, reading, crossword puzzles, and spending time with family and friends. Her faith was strong to the end.
She is survived by two sons, Bennie Ray McFall of Waynesboro, TN and Jackie Leon McFall of Lawrenceburg, TN; a daughter, Glenda Kaye Byrum of Hendersonville, TN; two brothers, Warren Rich of Cypress Inn, TN and Harl Rich of Florence, AL; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren
