Loretta "Granny" Baggett

Loretta "Granny" Baggett, age 83, was born on August 28, 1940 in Gibson County, TN to the late Benjamin and Velma Stephens Payne. 

She was united in marriage on November 11, 1955 to Billy Joe Baggett. Mr. Baggett passed away on March 31, 1984. 

Loretta was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She cherished singing gospel hymns, reading her Bible, spending time with her loved ones, doing crossword puzzles, and enjoying her coffee.

Loretta "Granny" Baggett departed this world on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at Magnolia Regional Hospital in Corinth, MS. She is survived by her three sisters: Ester Newton, Marsha Lowrance (Wilbur), and Caroline Hurst (Gene); six children: Sarah Kilpatrick (Terry), Glendale Baggett (Ann), Billy Baggett (Betty), David Baggett (Tonya), Cindy Brewer (Robert), and Dana Williams (Ray); 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Baggett; four brothers and four sisters.
