Loretta Bernadette Smith

Services will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors , Waynesboro Tennessee, with Joe Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Prater's Chapel Cemetery at Clifton, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements.



Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 17, 5:00-9:00 pm and on Thursday, Dec. 18 from 8:00 am until service time at Shackelford Funeral Home, Wayensboro.



Loretta Smith departed this life on Monday, December 15, 2008 at Jackson Madison County Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 64 Years, 8 Months, 23 Days. She was born March 22, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of the late Charles Otto and Ruby Marie Martin Eckman. In addition to her parents, Mrs Smith was preceded in death by brothers, Edward Sexton, Donald Sexton, Jack Sexton, Kenneth Eckman; and a sister, Gladys Sexton Maurer



Mrs Smith was a towboat cook on the riverboat and of the Pentecostal faith .



She is survived by; sons, Lytle Charles Smith of Clifton, TN, Steve Igoe Smith of Clifton, TN;



5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren ; 2 step great grandchildren



brother, Thomas Dwaine Eckman of Clifton, TN;
