The wife of Barry Lax, who survives, she was the manager and co-owner of Bolivar Credit. She was born June 7, 1967 in Jackson to Marvin Williams of Bolivar and Jo Ross of Silerton and lived most of her life in Bolivar. She was a 1985 gradute of Bolivar Central High School, was baptized at Parrans Chapel Baptist Church and attended Middleburg Baptist Church. Her family states that she 'was a loving daugher, wife, sister, mother...The Family's Rock'.
In addition to her husband, whom she married on June 10, 1995, and her parents, she is survived by a daughter, Leslie Paige Lax of Bolivar; a stepfather, Warner Ross of Silerton; a sister and her husband, Whitney Bevels (Buddy) of Memphis; a brother, Matthew Williams of Toone; three aunts, Billie Brooks of Selmer, Carolyn Williams Bennett of Memphis and Margie Wooten of Bolivar; and her in-laws, James and Roalice Lax and family. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Atlas and Elizabeth Williams and Lynn & Morine Autry and three uncles, Duncan Williams, Harlan Wooten, and Bobby Brooks.
