LORRAINE SMITH BUTLER
Henderson, TN: Lessie Lorraine Smith Butler, age 91, passed away Friday evening at the Decatur County Manor at Parsons.

She was born February 7, 1926 in the Glendale Community of Chester County, the daughter of the late Jerry Clyde and Mary Lessie Mullins Smith. She attended Chester County Schools. She married Joe Wilburn Butler in 1948. They made their home in Henderson. She worked at Salant & Salant Mfg. for twenty-five years and for Chester County Sportswear for five years. Mr. Butler died in 2001. She continued to make her home in Henderson until 2012 when she moved to Parsons to make her home with Renita. She was a member of the Amazing Grace Ministries of Parsons, Tennessee.

Mrs. Butler is survived by three sons, Richy Butler and wife Jacquita of Henderson, Randy Butler and wife Carol of Henderson and Russ Butler of Enville; two daughters, Renee Malone and husband Doug of Henderson and Renita Warren and husband Chris of Parsons; nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren; a brother, Buddy Smith of Finger and a sister, Stella Malone of Henderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joe Wilburn Butler in 2001, two grandchildren, Joe Garron Watkins and Joe William Butler; a brother, Jerry Paul Smith; and four sisters; Bobbie Weaver, Thelma Cherry, Jane McDonald and Wilda Maness.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Bro. Chris Warren officiating. Burial will follow in Mifflin Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM Sunday.
