Lorraine Killingsworth Rodgers was born in McNairy County, Tennessee on April 1, 1922, the daughter of the late Andrew Dee Killingsworth and Martha Thacker Killingsworth. Mrs. Rodgers departed this life on September 4, 2019, at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 97 years, 5 months, and 3 days. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. DiRenzo. She was united in marriage to Millard Rodgers on January 22, 1955. Mr. Rodgers preceded her in death on March 28, 1989. She was also preceded in death by 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Mrs. Rodgers served her country in the U.S. Navy from 1943 through 1945. She was a retired seamstress and homemaker and attended Lebanon United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, JoAnn DiRenzo-Cruz (Lamount) of Atlantic City, New Jersey and Janette DiRenzo of Savannah, Tennessee; two sons, Frank Rodgers of Columbia, Tennessee and Tony Rodgers (Renee) of Middleton, Tennessee; and a sister, Shirley Schmiderer of St. Louis, Missouri. She also leaves behind several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
