Lou Willa Preslar

March 27, 1937 — September 2, 2009

Lou Willa Butler Preslar was born March 27, 1937 in Wayne Co., Tennessee, the daughter of the late Joe Sephus and Fronie Matilda Daniels Butler. She was united in marriage to Billy Joe Preslar and he preceded her in death on June 7, 1973. Mrs. Preslar was a factory worker, homemaker, and caregiver. She was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church.



Mrs. Preslar departed this life on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at her home at the age of 72 Years, 5 Months, 6 Days.



She is survived by sons, Larry Preslar and wife, Rita of Ethridge, TN, Barry Preslar and wife, Angela of Huntsville, AL; a daughter, Tammy Preslar West and husband, Dennis of Iron City, TN; grandchildren, Crystal Preslar, Stephanie Preslar, Christopher Preslar and wife, Sara, Danielle Preslar, Allison Preslar, Lyndsay West, Hayley West; great-granddaughter, Dayla Turnbow; brothers, Arnett and Glenn Butler both of Waynesboro, TN; sister, Rebecca Dennis of Florence, AL; several nieces and nephews.



In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Preslar was preceded in death by sisters, Bernice Butler, Myrtle Butler, Vera Nelson Vickery, Lena Mae Darnell, Christine Goodman.



Services will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, Collinwood, TN with Christopher Preslar officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Pallbearers will be Randy, Ronald, Rickey, Charles, and Roger Butler, Zandall Darnell, and James Harold Goodman. Visitation will be Friday, September 4, 2009 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Saturday, September 5, 2009 from 9 am to service time at the funeral home.
