LOU ELLEN CLEMENT RAINEY
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on October 5, 1923 the daughter of the late Jesse and Lovie Morton Clement.
On December 2, 1939 she was united in marriage to Adley Franklin Rainey, who preceded his wife in death on March 19, 1972.
Mrs. Rainey was a seamstress for 20 years for H.I.S. Manufacturing. She was a member of Crossroads Union Church. Mrs. Rainey loved to fish, sew and make crafts.
She departed this life on October 12, 2012 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 89 years and 7 days.
Mrs. Rainey is survived by her children, Judith Deanna Smith, Dora Jeannette Nelson and Larry Joe Rainey and his wife Jo Ann, all of Savannah, Tennessee
11 grandchildren, Tammy Dawson, Connie Poole, Laura Jones, Lance Rainey, Darrell Nelson, Gloria Copeland, Anna Coy, Bobby Rainey, Angie Lewis, Talmadge Rainey and Madeline Nance
27 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren
2 sisters, Inez McCasland and Joyce Davis, both of Savannah, Tennessee
In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Rainey was also preceded in death by one son, Bobby Franklin Rainey, Sr., 3 sisters, Velma Clement Barlow, Belva Clement Harrison and Naomi Clement Whitten and 2 brothers, J. C. Clement and James (Clem) Clement and one son in law, Eugene Nelson.
