Louie H. Abrams

Louie Hinkle Abrams departed this life on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at the age of 91 years, 5 months, and 28 days. He was born in Savannah, Tennessee on October 7, 1925, the son of the late Oscar and Bertha Abrams. On August 15, 1955, he was united in marriage to Jaye Lynn Harris, who survives.

Louie served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He lived in Gallatin, Tennessee from 1955 to 1986 and was a United Methodist minister during the 1950's and 1960's. He had worked for Palmer Tool as a Supervisor for about 14 years and retired from TVA. Louie was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Shriner, Mason, and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He had also enjoyed carpentry.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jaye Lynn Abrams; daughter, Deborah Lynn Abrams; son, David Louis Abrams; and grandson, Joshua Dale Cavanah, all of New Johnsonville, Tennessee.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death a brother, Enlow Abrams and sister, Annie Mae Franks.
