Louis Edward Felton departed this life on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at the age of 79 years, 7 months, and 5 days. He was born in Gulfport, Mississippi on July 2, 1937, the son of the late Louis H. and Vera E. Barton Felton.
Louis served honorably in the United States Air Force. He had worked for Brown and Root Industrial Services as an Electrician and Instrument Technician. He retired from the company after 40 years of employment. He had lived in Hardin County, Tennessee for the past 12 years. Louis enjoyed playing the harmonica, fishing, frog and squirrel hunting, shrimp boating, and building bird houses out of wood that he had whittled. He was a member of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where he was an elder and had a certificate of Aaronic Priesthood.
He is survived by his children, Angela Felton Baxley and her husband Eugene of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, Bobby Felton and his wife Kathy of Sulphur, Louisiana, Sheryl Felton of Sulphur, Louisiana, Wendy Felton and Jennifer Felton, both of New Orleans, Louisiana; thirteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, John Carruth, Leland Carruth, Morgan Cameron, and Nancy Parker; and his special friend of 20 years, Teresa Green.
