Louis W. "PeeWee" Thompson was born on July 5, 1942 Brookport, Illinois, the son of the late John Albert and Cleo Northcutt Thompson.
On June 26, 1976, he was united in marriage to Cammie Ryan, who preceded her husband in death on July 3, 1997.
Mr. Thompson worked as a welder and pipefitter at L&L Mechanical in Adamsville, Tennessee until his retirement. He previously lived in Houston, Texas where he worked for Intex and Marathon. Louis was a big sports fan and loved to watch college football, especially when the Tennessee Volunteers were playing.
Louis W. "PeeWee" Thompson departed this life on January 14, 2024 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 81 years, 6 months, and 9 days.
He is survived by his partner, Emelene Pigg of Savannah, Tennessee; sons, Louis Dwayne Thompson of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Andy Thompson of Stantonville, Tennessee; daughter, Lanetta Scobey of Ripley, Tennessee; brother, Johnny Thompson of Adamsville, Tennessee; sister, Sharon Webb Clearman of Memphis, Tennessee; 8 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, Louis was preceded in death by his brothers, Hugh "Judgy" Thompson and James Edward Thompson; sisters, Freda Foster and Carolyn Fowler; and grandson, Dakota Wayne Thompson.
