LOUISE PHILLIPS CASH
Memphis, TN: Violet Louise Phillips Cash age 86, passed away June 8, 2011 at the Chester County Healthcare.
She was born in Alba, TX and reared in West Tennessee, the daughter of the late Willie Nathan and Minnie Lee Wright Phillips. She went to school in West TN and graduated from Chester County High School in 1942 and in 1950 attended West Tennessee Business College. She married Thurman Cash June 1, 1952. They made their home in Madison, Tennessee and in 1961 they moved to Memphis, TN and lived their since that time. She was a cashier and bookkeeper for Blazer Financial Services for over 30 years. She loved to read and do crossword puzzles, raise flowers in her flower garden and loved feeding her pet doves and squirrels. Mrs. Cash was touched by her savior Jesus Christ and joined Johnson Crossroads Primitive Baptist Church, December 1961 and was a faithful member throughout her life. She and Thurman and Joe attended Primitive Baptist Churches through all of West TN as well as churches in many other states and attended various week-end meetings and association meetings.
She was always caring for others and was very unselfish. She devoted so much of her life for caring for her son Joe, sister Ramelle, her husband Thurman, brother James and her parents, as well as her entire family.
She is survived by a daughter, Ann Marie Billings and a son, Joe Cash both of Hendersonville, TN; three grandchildren, Rhett, Ariel and Rheanna Billings and a brother, Willie L. (Pete) Phillips of Bartlett, TN.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Cash in 2010, brothers, J. E. Phillips, Roy Phillips and 4 infant brothers.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Johnson Crossroads Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Allen Broughton and Elder Cecil Woodruff officiating and burial will follow in Johnson Crossroads Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel, Friday 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM until funeral time at the church.
