Lowell (Trick) Polk was born on March 30, 1921 in Hardin County, Tennessee, the son of the late Walter Edwin and Betty Polk.
On January 10, 1944, he was united in marriage to Georgia Emogene Polk who preceded her husband in death on August 28, 2004. On July 16, 2006, he was united in marriage to Roberta Evans Polk, who survives.
Mr. Polk worked at TVA in Pickwick for 16 years, Brown Shoe Company for 16 years, Ripley Manufacturing, and the Hardin County Board of Education (Cerro Gordo School) for 3 years. He lived in Hardin County all of his life and attended Mt. Carmel Methodist Church in Savannah, Tennessee and Second Baptist Church in Selmer, Tennessee. "Trick" raised cattle and livestock for years and enjoyed gardening. He also enjoyed Southern Gospel Music and was a song leader for years.
Lowell Polk departed this life on November 24, 2016 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 95 years, 7 months, 25 days.
He is survived by his wife, Roberta Evans Polk of Clifton, Tennessee; son, Tony E. Polk and his wife Diane of Savannah, Tennessee; daughter, Tammy Morris and her husband Jerome of Savannah, Tennessee; stepson, Dwight Evans and his wife Teresa of Waynesboro, Tennessee; stepdaughter, Joy Holder and her husband Johnny of Clarksville, Tennessee; 3 grandchildren, Dewayne Polk, Sarah Morris, and Chelsea Morris; 4 step grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren.
In addition to his first wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Wendell Polk, EJ Polk, and Lillie Harbin.
