LOYD (MOE) DAVIS
was born in Alcorn County, Mississippi on February 7, 1928 the son of the late Elbert Lee and Lillian Beatrice Greenhaw Davis.
On March 10, 1947 he was united in marriage to Lela Pearl Duboise, who survives.
Mr. Davis was a truck driver for Davis Brothers Concrete. He also worked for Granville Williams, Pete Brown, Claude Jones and Grady Qualls. Mr. Davis was a member of Sharon Baptist Church.
He departed this life on February 19, 2015 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 87 years and 12 days.
In addition to his wife Lela of 67 years, he is survived by his children, Shirley Ann Banks of Adamsville, Tennessee, Lillian Lucille Stewart of Savannah, Tennessee, Leland Eugene (Bo) Davis and his wife Lisa of Savannah, Tennessee, Ellen Veronica (Vee) Wilkerson and her husband James of Crump, Tennessee, Donnie Davis and his wife Charlotte of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, Ronald Davis and his wife Jana of Savannah, Tennessee, Debbie Warren and her husband Randell of Crump, Tennessee, Loyd Junior (Bug) Davis and his wife Tabitha of Adamsville, Tennessee, Teresa Jo Lish and her husband Todd of Humboldt, Tennessee and Samantha Buttram and her husband Ricky of Savannah, Tennessee.
41 grandchildren, 80 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren
three sisters, Mary Noble Hollins, Nellie Ruth Hollins and Sybil Annette Blakney, all of Corinth, Mississippi
one brother, Thomas Elbert Davis of Iuka, Mississippi
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son in law, James Banks, two brothers, William Lee Lambert and Elbert Franklin Davis,one sister in law, Nellie Mae Lard, two grandchildren, Joshua Eugene Davis and Randall Lee Warren and three great grandchildren, Carson Davis, Summer Rose Davis and Madelyn Coopwood.
