Lucille Melson Banks

Lucille Melson Banks was born on April 17, 1946 in Wayne County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Pony and Rachel Phillips Melson.

In 1972, she was united in marriage to William Russell Banks, who preceded his wife in death on March 23, 1996.

Lucille moved to Hardin County in the early 1950s. She loved drinking her coffee and watching television, especially Soaps on ABC and good ole' fashioned baseball.

Lucille Melson Banks departed this life on February 24, 2023 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 76 years, 10 months, and 7 days. 

She is survived by her daughter, Rachel Banks Johnson and her husband Randy of Savannah, Tennessee; sisters, Hazel of Corinth, Mississippi and Mae Doyle of Olive Hill, Tennessee; brothers, Dolby Melson, Robert Melson, and Goose Melson, all of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Jonathan Johnson and Charles Johnson; and great grandchild, Demi Faye Ward.

In addition to her parents and husband, Lucille was preceded in death by her brothers, Andrew Melson, Buddy Lee Melson, Norman Melson, Johnny K. Melson, and Daniel Melson and grandparents, John Andrew Jackson Melson and Rachel Melson.
