Lucille T. Barnes, 92, of Hornsby, passed away Monday November 16, 2009 at her home.
She worked as a shipping clerk at Sears in Memphis for 39 years. Born Aug. 9, 1917 in Hardeman County to the late Tom Dallas Barnes and Sarah Erema Fawcett Barnes, she lived in Memphis for 40 years before moving here in 1983. She was a member of Bellevue Baptist and attended Hornsby Baptist Church.
She is survived by a brother, Billy Barnes of Hornsby; a sister-in-law, Hugholene Barnes; three nieces, Gloria Emerson, Nancy Coghlan, Jennifer Aylor; six nephews, Greg, Jeff, Gary, Keith, and Randy Barnes, Tommy Cox; and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Madge Barnes, Margaret Cox; four brothers, Jack, Bobby, Joe, and Kenneth Barnes; and a nephew, Dennis Barnes.
