Mrs. Gravitt passed away Saturday afternoon at Magnolia Hospital in Corinth, Mississippi.
A native of Hardeman County, she was the daughter of the late O'neal and Viola Pipkin Howell. She lived 15-20 years in Atlanta before returning to Hardeman County in 1979. She had worked as a factory worker, waitress and homemaker and enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing.
She leaves three sons, James Harold Norton and wife, Dottie, of Corinth, MS, George Douglas Norton and his wife, Nina, of Blue Mountain, MS and Jimmy Franklin Norton of West Memphis, AR; two sisters, Fairy Izola McAlpin of Selmer and Dorothy Fay Simpson of Middleton; two brothers, James Ona Howell of Selmer and Maurice Vernell "Buster" Howell of Middleton.
She also leaves 12 grandchildren - Kara, Karla and Kristen Norton; Lucas Norton and wife, Emily; Brandon Norton and wife, Sherry; D. J., Felicia, and Georgia Norton; Shannon Bates; Brandon Bates and wife, Amanda; Christy Hood and Tessea Bell; 11 great-grandchildren - Corey Norton, Balee Bell, Josie Mae Bell, Brady Hood, Blake Norton, Sara Norton, Brena Bruff, Kaydan Bruff, Tate Eaton, Kyle Eaton and Harley Bates; and two special nieces, Wanda and Becky.
