Lucy Reba Moomaw Roberson, 95, of Iron City, TN, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on Friday, August 21, 2026. She was born on March 26, 1931, to Andrew Jackson Moomaw and Cecil Jane Dood in Florence, AL. Lucy attended Central High School and was married to Bill Roberson until his passing in 2006.

Lucy was a successful hairstylist and salon owner for over 40 years. In her retirement, she enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. But her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Daniel (Curtis); her brother, Gene Moomaw (Glenda); son-in-law, James K. Daniel; grandchildren, Shana Harris (Josh), Jana Herrmann (Jason), Landon Daniel (Crystal), and John Daniel (girlfriend Maria); great-grandchildren, Parker, Graham, Gage, and Haven Daniel, Griffin Herrmann, and Lillian Daniel; step-granddaughters, Lorin Ingram (Blake) and Anna Harris; numerous nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law, Margie Roberson and Emma Jo Roberson.

Lucy is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sisters Ruth Horton and Ruby Glover; daughter Brenda Daniel; grandson Jay Daniel; and great-granddaughter Ella Grace Daniel. 

A special thanks to Sheila and Rae Atencio for their love and many kind and thoughtful acts over the past few years. We also thank Deaconess Home Health and Volunteer Hospice, especially Tammy and Lulu, and Dr. Danny McFall. 

A graveside service will be held at Railroad Cemetery in Iron City, TN, on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
