LUCY GAYLE SNIDER
Finger, TN: Lucy Gayle McIntyre Snider age 84 passed away Tuesday morning, March 28, 2017 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born February 26, 1933 in Finger, the daughter of the late Adrian and Ethel Wamble McIntyre. She went to school at Finger. She married Ulis Alton Snider and they made their home in Nashville and Lebanon from 1949 until 1975. Mr. and Mrs. Snider both worked at West Jackson Baptist Church in maintenance and housekeeping. They made their home at Finger since 1978. Mr. Snider passed away in 2002.
Mrs. Snider is survived by four sons, Ronald Snider (Deborah) of Beech Bluff, Danny Lee Snider (Jan) of Lebanon, Frank William Snider (Lida) of Grand Blanc, MI and Kenneth Neal Snider (Denita) of Eustis, FL; two daughters, Nancy Snider Holsonback (Lou) of Enville and Martha Brown (Debbie Harris) of Columbia; nineteen grandchildren and thirty-nine great grandchildren; four sisters, Marie Plunk of Finger, Roberta Daniels of Ocala, FL, Louise Ross of Finger and Lila Mae Kirk of Lebanon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ulis Alton Snider and a brother, James McIntyre.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Tracy Snider officiating. Burial will follow in Roby Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel beginning at 5:00 PM on Friday.
