Luther M. Odle

Services for Luther M. Odle, age 88, of Waynesboro will be Monday, November 2, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Chapel in Waynesboro with Ron Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Copeland Cemetery near Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.



Visitation will be Sunday, November 1, 2009 from 6:00-9:00 and Monday, November 2, 2009 from 8:00 am until service time at Shackelford Funeral Home in Waynesboro.



He was born July 27, 1921 in Collinwood, Tennessee the son of the late Jesse Franklin and Hattie Pearl Long Odle. Mr. Odle departed this life Friday, October 30, 2009 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro. In addition to his parents, Mr. Odle was preceded in death by sisters, Magdaline Franklin and Willie Ruth Creecy. He was retired from Genesco.



He is survived by his wife of 68 years Rosa Ann (Kilburn) Odle of Waynesboro, TN; two daughters, Jean Hastings of Katy, TX and Patricia Staggs of Collinwood, TN; three sons, James Leon Odle of Westchester, IL, Paul Daniel Odle of Lombard, IL, and Jessie Franklin Odle of Waynesboro, TN; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ruben Odle, Lyrlon Odle, and Robert Odle all of Collinwood, TN; three sisters, Pauline (Odle) Buff of Collinwood, TN, Nadine (Odle) Davis of Waynesboro, TN, and Fannie Lou (Odle) Parham of Collinwood, TN;
