Luther Shelby

LUTHER SHELBYwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on September 21, 1918 the son of the late James Lewis and Lillie Brooks Shelby.Mr. Shelby was united in marriage to Lois Aleda Austin, who preceded her husband in death on March 1, 1995.Mr. Shelby worked in farming all of his life. He attended Valley View House of Prayer in Florence, Alabama. Mr. Shelby was of Methodist Belief. He enjoyed dancing and woodworking. Mr. Shelby departed this life on October 15, 2011 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 93 years and 24 days.He is survived by 3 nephews and 3 niecesMr. Shelby is also survived by a special friend and caretaker, Linda Scott of Lutts, TennesseeIn addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by 3 sisters, Maude Beckham, Alta Fielder and Jewel Beckham and 3 brothers, Howard, Claude and Hardin Shelby.
