Lynda Yvonne Hooten, born on April 25, 1960, in Millington, Tennessee, passed away in her home in Michie on March 30, 2025. Lynda led a life characterized by her warmth and kindness, touching the hearts of those around her.
She was united in marriage to Phillip D. Hooten on December 28, 1987. Mr. Hooten preceded her in death on August 3, 2019, following 31 years of marriage.
Lynda formerly worked as a waitress, an occupation that reflected her nurturing nature and ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Her engaging personality and welcoming spirit made her a beloved figure among her colleagues and customers alike.
Lynda is survived by her three sisters: Sherry Watkins and her husband Joseph of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Bonnie Poindexter of Memphis, Tennessee; and Lisa Golden and her husband Robert of Oakland, Tennessee. She is also survived by her two brothers, Norman Patrick Bryant and Thomas James Bryant, both of Memphis, Tennessee. In addition, Lynda is remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends whose lives she enriched with her presence.
In addition to her husband, Lynda is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Norman Bryant, Jr. and Marian Dora Hall Bryant. Their legacy continues through the love and memories she leaves behind.
Lynda Yvonne Hooten's spirit will forever remain in the memories of her loved ones who cherish the moments they shared with her. She will be deeply missed.
