Lynn Shields

Lynn Shields, age 49 of Whiteville, Tennessee, passed away at his home Friday afternoon, December 16, 2016.

Mr. Shields was born Friday, August 4, 1967, to Jr. and Frances (nee' Grantham) Shields in Hardeman County, TN. He married Brenda Shields on June 3, 2011. He was employed with the Hardeman County Sheriffs Department, in two different tenures, first for 6 years; and then for the last 3-4 years. He also had worked with the Whiteville Police Department for two years and Maytag for 16 years. He was Baptist in faith and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Lynn lived most of his life here in Hardeman County.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Shields of Whiteville; his parents, Jr. Shields (Sandra) of Whiteville,TN, and Frances Pirtle (Jim) of Hornsby, TN; a son, Harrison Luke Shields of Whiteville; a step-son, Justin Morphis of Walnut, MS; two step-daughters, Brittany Morphis of Walnut, MS, and Wendy Lane of Southaven, MS; a brother, James Shields (Rhonda) of Middleton, TN; two sisters, Carol Manard (Jason) of Henderson, TN, and Connie Davis (Billy) of Hornsby, TN; a half-brother, Josh Shields; and two step-brothers, Joey Bryant (Becky) and Wade Bryant of Whiteville, TN. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, James Troy and Fannie Mae Grantham, and Edgar and Vadine Shields.
