Mabel Hicks was born on August 14, 1927 in Savannah, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Marvin and Maggie Scott.

Mabel loved going to church and was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Crump, Tennessee.

Mabel Hicks departed this life on Friday, December 11, 2020 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 93 years, 3 months, and 27 days.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda English of Crump, Tennessee; son, Jack French of Crump, Tennessee; sister, Willie Jo Hopper; grandchildren, Eddie French, Ronnie English, Paul French, Angela French, Tim French, Wayne French, and James French; and great grandchildren, Seth Lockwood, Jacob French, Christian English, and Sophie French.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Leroy Scott, Beatrice Smith, Parllee Gibbs, and Juanita Johnson.
