Services for Mack Staggs, age 81 will be Friday, August 20, 2010 at 3:00 PM Shackelford Funeral Home in Waynesboro with Jeff Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Methodist Church Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements.
Visitaion will be on Thursday, August , 19, 2010 5:00-9:00 pm and on Friday, August 20, 8;00 am until service time @ Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, Waynesboro.
Mr. Staggs departed this life on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at his residence in Waynesboro, Tennessee. He was born March 18, 1929 in Waynesboro, Tennessee, the son of the late Clarence and Cordelia Gobbell Staggs. In addition to his parents, Mr. Staggs was preceded in death by brothers, Lonnie Staggs and Marvin Staggs; and grandson; Matthew Staggs.
Mr. Staggs was a retired machinist at Lincoln Brass Works .
He is survived by his wife Lillis Aleen Caperton Staggs of Waynesboro, TN;
two sons, Carlton Staggs and wife Debbie of Lawrenceburg, TN and Roy Staggs of Waynesboro, TN; two daughters, Patricia Jones and husband Jackie of Waynesboro, TN and Ethel Jean Farmer and husband Kenneth of Florence, AL; ten grandchildren, Anthony Lacher, Bryan Staggs, Kyle Staggs and wife Brandy, Lillie Mucha and husband Doug, Mike Jones, Scott Jones, Leigh Ann Jones, Hillary Delarosa and husband Micah, Chris Staggs and wife Ashley, Chad Staggs and wife Brittany; 10 great-grandchildren, and
1 great-great grandchild; a brother, Lawrence Everett Staggs of Waynesboro, TN; three sisters, Lois Crews and Sue Pope both of Waynesboro, TN, Carol Thompson of Clifton, TN; special friends, Cheryl Holt and David Bogle.
