Mae Hester

Mae Hester departed this life on Saturday, October 24, 2020, at the age of 84 years, 2 months, and 8 days. She was born in McNairy County, Tennessee on August 16, 1936, the daughter of the late Daniel Webster and Tiny Augusta McCormick Flatt.

During her lifetime, Mae had lived in Adamsville, Tennessee, Savannah, Tennessee, Jackson, Mississippi, and Bradenton, Florida. She was a homemaker and attended Souls Harvest Church.

Mae is survived by her son, Timothy Powell Haimes of Bradenton, Florida; step children, John Hester, Jeff Hester, and Andrew Hester, all of Memphis, Tennessee; a grandchild, T.C. Haimes; a sister, Louise Bryant of Savannah, Tennessee; a brother, Don O'Neal Flatt and his wife Faye of Savannah, Tennessee; nieces, Judy Flatt, Melinda Hoseney, Barbara Crawford, Kay Swift, and Diana; and nephews, Ronnie Bryant, Aaron Flatt, Trent Flatt, Joe Swift, and Allen Addleman.

In addition to her parents, Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Hester; step son, Joe Hester; brothers, J.P. Flatt and James Flatt; and sisters, Gay Sparks and Jean Addleman.
