Mae Bell Hinton

Services will be held on Monday, January 25, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Home in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Greg Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in Cloverdale Church of Christ Cemetery at Florence, Alabama with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 24, 5:00-8:00 pm and on Monday, January 25, 9:00 am until service time @ Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, Collinwood.
Mrs. Hinton departed this life on Friday, January 22, 2010 at her residence in Florence, Alabama at the age of 90 Years, 10 Months, 13 Days. She was born March 9, 1919 in Wayne County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Clyde and Molly Eaton Tidwell. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hinton was preceded in death by husband, Floyd Glen Hinton; son, Leroy Hinton; sisters, Nella Dodd, Rhoda Reaves and Myrtle Reaves and a brother, Johnny Clyde Reaves.
She was united in marriage to Floyd Glen Hinton on September 27, 1934. Mr. Hinton preceded her in death on January 20, 1996.
Mrs. Hinton was a homemaker and member of the Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by four sons, Earl Hinton and James Hinton both of Florence, AL, Robert Hinton of Edwardsburg, MI, and Charles R Hinton of Edgewood, TX. daughters, L. Lorene Stankus of Niles, MI. and Joyce Coryelle of Gary, GA.
20 grandhchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren
sisters, Pearl Dean of Florence, AL, Lucille Balentine of Lutts, TN, and Jean Montgomery of Florence, AL.
