MANSEL B. JOHNSON
Was born in Bethel Springs, Tennessee on October 7, 1924 the son of the late Rufe and Ethel Burrow Johnson.
On October 5, 1946 he was united in marriage to the former Rachel I. Johnson, who survives.
Mr. Johnson was a retired pipeline worker, construction worker, carpenter and also worked for Brown Shoe Company. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II. Mr. Johnson was in the 7th Infantry Regiment Company G and served in Germany and France. He was a member of Sharon Baptist Church.
Mr. Johnson departed this life on January 2, 2007 at the Hardin Home Nursing Home in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 82 years, 2 months and 26 days.
Other than his wife, Rachel of Savannah, Tennessee he is survived by 2 daughters, Kathy Winborn and Pam Dickerson, both of Savannah, Tennessee.
8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren
3 sisters, Juanita Hendrix of Bethel Springs, Tennessee, Evie Stevens of Gonzales, Louisiana and Olegia Lipford of Jackson, Tennessee.
Mr. Johnson was also preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Kay Brown, 2 sisters, Euilla Holland and Modene Johnson and 4 brothers, Elbert, Guy, Travis and Tillman Johnson.
