Manuel Dale Adams

Manuel Dale Adams departed this life on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Maury Regional Hospital, Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 66 Years, 3 Months, 11 Days. He was born July 16, 1949 in Collinwood, TN, the son of the late Thomas Lee and Beulah Mae Holt Adams. In addition to his parents, Mr. Adams was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas (Bud) Adams and a sister, Thelma Jean Staggs.

He was united in marriage to Carolyn Ann Franks on June 10, 1972.

Dale was retired from Hassell and Hughes and Hughes Hardwood, Collinwood, TN and had worked several years at Genesco, Waynesboro, TN. He was a member of the Millrock Freewill Baptist Church, Collinwood, Tennessee.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Ann Franks Adams; sons, Brandon Adams and Brian Adams and wife, Candy; granddaughter, Jaycee Adams all of Collinwood, TN; a brother, Billy Joe Adams and wife, Betty; sisters, Mattie Ruth Robbins, Iva Nell Talley and Doris Ann Vaden and husband, Ronnie all of Collinwood, TN and Dorothy Mae Pope and husband, Aaron, Lawrenceburg, TN and nieces and nephews.

Services will be Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Joel Wallace and Tim Hanback officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. arrangements. Pallbearers will be Frank Singleton, Jeff Alley, Robert Bowen, Freddie Adams, Sam Franks and Brandon Adams. Honorary pallbearer will be Mike Hughes.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 28, 6:00-9:00 pm and Thursday, October 29, 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home.
