Marcella Stricklin was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on May 24, 1948, the daughter of the late Martin Johnson Stricklin, Sr. and Effie Eldon Bevis Stricklin. Marcella departed this life on December 18, 2017, at the age of 69 years, 6 months, and 24 days.
Marcella enjoyed her music, dolls, being read to, and singing with other people. She loved her dogs, Brownie and Bozo and her rooster, Fred. Oreo cookies, especially double-stuffed, and Dr. Pepper were her favorite snacks.
Marcella is survived by her brother, M.J. Stricklin and wife Anne of Savannah, Tennessee; sister, Bonnie Marie Stricklin Taylor of Savannah, Tennessee; sister-in-law, Carman Stricklin of Savannah, Tennessee; nieces Stephanie Casteel and husband Chris, Kamela Hill and husband Johnny, and Pam Hubbard and husband Greg; nephews Timmy Stricklin and wife Stacy and Steve Stricklin and wife Jamie; caregiver and special friend, Jessica Thomas and special friends Katie Benson and Shelia Hamlin.
In addition to her parents, Marcella was preceded in death by her brother, Travis Stricklin.
