Margaret L. Bradford

Margaret Louise Watkins Bradford, Taylor, MI formerly of Florence, AL was born December 27, 1922 in Florence, AL, the daughter of the late Oscar Perry and Myrtle Clark Watkins. She was united in marriage to Paul Austin Bradford and he preceded her in death on July 26, 1981.

Mrs. Bradford moved to Taylor from Alabama about 11 years ago. She was a member of Sunset Church of Christ, Taylor and Mt. Zion Church of Christ, Florence and enjoyed reading, quilting, gardening and loved to cook and take care of her family.

She departed this life Sunday, August 16, 2015 at her daughter's home in Belleville, Michigan at the age of 92 Years, 7 Months, 20 Days.

Survivors, daughters, Shirley Olive (Bobby), Belleville, MI and Kathy Williams (David), Taylor, MI; 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, with one on-the-way, 7 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, David Lester and Joyce Poindexter Bradford and 9 siblings.

Services will be Friday, August 21, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Mt. Zion Church of Christ, Florence, Alabama with Sonny Owens and Paul Staples officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Visitation will be Thursday, August 20, 2015 from 5:30 pm to 9 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home, Collinwood, TN. Her body will be placed in the church one hour before the services on Friday.
