Margaret Grimes Gallaher

Mrs. Margaret Grimes Gallaher departed this life on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 97 Years, 2 Months, 27 Days. She was born January 23, 1920 in Wayne County, TN, the daughter of the late Claude Wilson and Gladys Crews Grimes. She married Marion William Gallaher on April 3, 1937 and he preceded her in death on January 11, 1997. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Gallaher was preceded in death by sons, Glenn Wallace Gallaher, William Claude (Billy) Gallaher; brothers, Walter Wilson Grimes and William James Grimes; sisters, Mary Louise Grimes Oswalt, Gladys Annette Grimes Trimble.

Mrs. Gallaher was a lunch room manager for 35 years at WCHS and was a member of the Waynesboro Church of Christ .

She is survived by son, Dr. Raymond Noel Gallaher, Sue Finley Gallaher, Waynesboro, TN; brothers, Ralph Eugene Grimes, Jackson, TN, Glenn Howard Grimes, wife, Joyce, Savannah, TN and Brice Edward Grimes, wife, Pat, Tuscumbia, AL; sister, Frances Virginia Grimes Kelley of Fayetteville, GA; grandchildren, Dr. Tom Tracey Gallaher, wife, Dr. Caren Gallaher, Dr. Kent Gallaher, wife, Marsha, Jeffrey Wade Gallaher, Sara Beth Gallaher McGuire, husband, Jess McGuire, Kelly Roane Gallaher Loudermilk, husband, Sherwin Loudermilk, Tiffany Lea Gallaher Kennedy, Brooke Gallaher Jackson, husband, Billy Jackson, Crystal Gallaher; great-grandchildren, Alfred Andrew Gallaher, Phillip Holt McGuire, John Austin Gallaher, Margaret (Maggie) Ellouise McGuire, Harley Gallaher, Peyton Gallaher, Mina Loudermilk, Aiden Gallaher, Eliza Gallaher, Bella Rain Kennedy, Violet Sky Kennedy, Gracie Jackson.

Services will be Sunday, April 23, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Waynesboro Church of Christ, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Bobby Pinckley, Mitchell Skelton, Jerry Duren officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 22, 2017, 6-8:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Waynesboro. Her body will be placed in the church one hour before the service.
