Mrs. Hooper passed away Friday morning at Pine Meadows Healthcare in Bolivar.
The widow of Malcolm R. Hooper, who died September 14, 1990, she was a homemaker. She was born February 13, 1926 in Silerton to the late Jesse Paul and Irene Casey Ballard and lived all of her life in Hardeman County. She enjoyed taking care of her family, gardening and working with flowers.
She is survived by 4 daughters, Linda Clem of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Charlotte and Sandy Hooper and Connie Pickard, all of Toone; 4 sons, Larry, Gerald, Donald and Tony Hooper, all of Toone; 5 half-sisters, Thelma Sumner, Myrtle Schleuter, Paulette Henson, Martha Howell and Shirley Carr; 2 brothers, Herman and Billy Ballard; 3 half-brothers, Hugh Allen Casey, Jerry Ballard and Russell Ballard; one stepbrother, Monroe Willis; 21 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Justin Pickard; a stepbrother, Albert Willis; a brother, Joe Wallace Ballard; and a stepmother, Nema Ballard.
