Margaret Ann Locke, born on March 16, 1949, in Parma, Missouri, passed away on August 22, 2025, in Jackson, Tennessee. She was a beacon of love and warmth, remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family and her kindness towards others.
Margaret was raised in McNairy County, Tennessee, where she graduated from Bethel Springs High School in 1967. Throughout her life, she embraced the joy of motherhood and cherished her role as a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Larry Joe Locke. Together, they built a beautiful life surrounded by their family, which included their daughter, Summer Lea Terry, and son-in-law, Shannon Terry.
She is also survived by a sister Peggy Rice and husband Frank and sister-in-law Sandy Tucker. . Margaret was also proud to have several nephews whom she adored.
A member of the Cave Springs Baptist Church, Margaret found peace and community in her faith. Her love of family extended to her animals, particularly her two blue-heeler dogs, Sadie and Cutter, affectionately known as “Old Man.” Margaret's love for nature was evident in her hobbies; she relished the outdoors, particularly indulging in water skiing, golfing, and visiting the beach.
Margaret’s proudest accomplishments were her commitment to her family, her role as a homemaker, and her fondness for working outdoors—whether it was hauling hay or mowing the grass.
She is preceded in death by her father, Delton Tucker, her mother, Lottie Irene Patterson Tucker, her brother, Doyle Tucker, and her sister, Joyce Mathis. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and devotion that will forever be remembered by those who knew her.
Visitation will be held on August 26, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Cave Springs Baptist Church, located at 1800 Cave Springs Road, Henderson, TN, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Margaret will then be laid to rest in a burial service at Cave Springs Cemetery immediately following.
Margaret Ann Locke's spirit will continue to inspire and uplift those she leaves behind, guiding them with her love and cherished memories.
