MARGARET RUSHING MANESS

Henderson, TN: Margaret Lucille Rushing Maness age 84 passed away Tuesday May 3, 2016 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

She was born May 30, 1931 in Henderson County near Sardis, the daughter of the late Jess Rushing and Sarah Ann Lector Courdle Rushing. She was married to the late Thomas Dallas Maness of Corinth, MS. She had lived the earlier part of her life in Henderson County and then made her home in Chester County. She was a homemaker and Pentecostal in belief.

Mrs. Maness is survived by three sons, Thomas Ronald Maness of Henderson, Dallas Ricky Maness of Jackson and Roger William Maness of Finger; seven daughters, Margaret Judy Jones of Speedway, IN, Lorene Maness Smith of Henderson, Irene Maness Rinks of Montezuma, Linda Gene Johnson of Sardis, Janie Kay Maness Cook of Lexington, Nancy Marie Maness Robertson of Morris Chapel and Treva Rhea Maness Gitchell of Montezuma; thirty grandchildren, thirty-seven great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Donnie Ray Maness, two daughters, Mary Sue Roberts and Patsy Ann Headings; one great granddaughter; two great-great grandchildren, three sisters, Emily Rushing, Jessie Lee Cross and Annie Rushing Milner and six brothers, James Rushing, Johnny Rushing, Gilbert Rushing, Wesley Rushing, Jasper Rushing and Ones Rushing.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday at Shackelford Funeral Directors-Casey Chapel with Clifford Stone and Wade Austin officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery at Enville, TN.

The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel beginning at 5:00 PM on Thursday.
