Margaret Marie Maness

Mrs. Margaret Marie Maness, age 75 of Medon, passed away Saturday morning, December 5, 2015 at Bolivar General Hospital.

The widow of Otis Maness, who preceded her in death on February 14, 1991, she formerly worked at Harman Automotive and was a homemaker. She was born April 21, 1940, the daughter of James and Ada Mae Stetling Baxter and lived all of her life in Hardeman County. Her hobbies included reading, and she especially enjoyed going to church and reunions. Her family states that she 'was a likable person' and she dearly loved and was loved by her family. Mrs. Maness was a member of New Union Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter in law, Larry D. and Kay Maness of Medon and James O. Maness of Middleton; grandchildren, Jessica, Vanessa, Tyler, Matthew, Jimmy and Trent; and 5 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Danny W. Maness in 1990. Memorial donations in Mrs. Maness' name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
