Margaret Franks Mitchell

Margaret Franks Mitchell departed this life on November 25, 2014 at the Savannah Healthcare Nursing Home at the age of 89 Years, 11 Months, and 29 Days. She was born on November 27, 1924, the daughter of the late John and Laura Young Franks.

Mrs. Mitchell was a homemaker and housewife. She attended the Cherry's Chapel Methodist Church. Margaret lived in Hardin County all of her life. She was a seamstress and liked to work in her gardens. She also enjoyed canning and cooking. She was a wonderful mother to her children and will be deeply missed by her family.

Margaret is survived by two sons, William Mitchell and his wife, Brenda, of Henderson, Tennessee, and Danny Mitchell and his wife, Ginger, of Savannah, Tennessee; one daughter, Janice Lambert and her husband, Ronnie, of Savannah, Tennessee; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Lynn Mitchell; two sisters, Mae Durbin and Mamie Freshour; one brother, Lewie Franks; and one grandchild, Glenn Mitchell.
