Margaret Northcutt was born on January 30, 1923, the daughter of the late Tony and Daisy Mae Meadows Blackwelder. On December 19, 1941, she married Arthur Frank Northcutt. Margaret departed this life on May 27, 2017, at the age of 94 years, 3 months, and 27 days.
Margaret attended New Harmony Baptist Church and was a member of the Cerro Gordo PTA. She worked for the Hardin County Board of Education for several years and Brown Shoe Company for four years, before becoming a housewife. She loved cooking, quilting, and taking care of family. Margaret was an excellent mother and grandmother.
Along with her husband, Margaret is survived by her son, Arthur Wallace (Butch) Northcutt and wife Ruthie, brothers, James Parker Blackwelder, J.E. Blackwelder, and Dan Warren, and a granddaughter, Christie Leigh Northcutt Pettit.
Along with her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her brothers, Von T. Blackwelder, Burt Smith Blackwelder, Burnice George Blackwelder, Hugh Blackwelder, and Albert Dudley Blackwelder; sisters, Georgia Emogene Blackwelder Polk, Sarah Lorene Blackwelder Evans; and grandparents, George Wilson Blackwelder, Smith Meadows, and Angie Northcutt Blackwelder.
