Margaret Whittemore

Mrs. Margaret Wittemore of Whiteville departed this life at the age of 87 years Tuesday afternoon, February 12, 2013 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Mrs. Whittemore was born in Lansing, Michigan May 17, 1925 to the late Theodore F. and Celia Chestnut Wells. On August 16, 1963, she was united in marriage to Raymond Landers Whittemore, who preceded her in death May 26, 1990. She worked most of her life as a homemaker and was a member of the Moose Lodge in Somerville. She was also a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include three daughters, Sharon McQueen of Mt. Pleasant, MS, Pam Kilpatrick of Whiteville and Kay Gooch of Bolivar; two sons, Allen E. Henley of Rogers Springs and Barry Ray Henley of Memphis.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Cannon; a brother, Robert Eugene Wells; and three grandsons, Steven Allen Henley, Joshua Wesley Besinger and Barry Ray Henley, Jr.
