Margie Burross departed this life on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at the age of 85 years, 10 months, and 3 days. She was born in Florence, Alabama on May 19, 1931, the daughter of the late Lee and Prim Boatwright. She was united in marriage to Elvis Burross, who preceded her in death.
Margie was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Savannah, Tennessee and TSEA (Tennessee State Employee Association). She retired from Pickwick Landing State Park where she had worked as a waitress. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her step children, David Burross, Teresa Clark, and Lisa Burross; grandchildren, Jessica Burross, Josh Hite, Shonda Hillenspeck, Stacey Cook, Samantha Lobell, and Kelly Burross; great grandchildren, Paytlin, Patience, and Pierson Hite, Cole Gowen, Brock Hillensbeck, Kennedy and Ethan Lobell, and Alex Hite.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Charles Lee Scott; step daughter, Donna Burross; grandson, Michael Burross; and sister, Mary Elizabeth.
