Margie Laphane Cox Robinson

Margie Laphane Cox Robinson was born July 23, 1928 in Chester County, TN the daughter of the late Forrest Coleman and Willie Mae Redmon Cox.

She was united in marriage to Melvin Robinson on October 12, 1946. Mr. Robinson preceded her in death on December 17, 1991.

Mrs. Robinson worked at Brown Shoe Company for over 15 years and later worked at General Electric. She was a member of the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Bethel Springs, Tennessee. She enjoyed watching sports on T.V., especially golf.

Mrs. Robinson departed this life on April 27, 2016 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 87 Years, 9 Months, 4 Days. She is survived by three daughters, Janet Stott and husband Steven of Humble, TX, Alice Robinson of Bethel Springs, TN, Margie Ferguson and husband Dennis of Bethel Springs, TN; two sons, Tony Robinson and wife Sandy of Michie, TN, Dan Robinson and wife Connie of Selmer, TN; two sisters, Bernice Maness of Hickory Corner, TN, Joan Johnson and husband David of Hernando, MS; 15 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by a son, John M. Robinson, Jr.; a grandchild, Ryan Ferguson; a sister, Faye Cox.
