Margie L. Powell

Margie L. Melton Powell was born May 3, 1926 in McNairy County, Tennessee the daughter of the late James Thomas and Mattie Leonard Melton.She was united in marriage to James Deward Powell. Mr. Powell preceded her in death on November 29, 1994.Mrs. Powell was a homemaker . She was a member of the Falcon Baptist church.Mrs. Powell departed this life on September 29, 2009 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 83 Years, 4 Months, 26 Days. She is survived by a daughter, Joy Green and husband Corky of Arlington, TN; a son, Tom Powell and wife Betty of Selmer, TN; 8 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by a sister, Minnie Melton; three brothers, Alvie Melton, Elmer Melton, Luther Melton.
