Maria Madonna Aragon Aristorenas

January 3, 1943 — May 15, 2025

Jackson, TN

Maria Madonna Aragon Aristorenas, 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 15th, 2025 at St. Mary’s Manor in Jackson, Tennessee. Known as “Ma Donnie” to her grandchildren and “Donnie” to friends, she was beloved by her family and community in Adamsville, Tennessee where she raised her children and abroad in the Philippines where she grew up.

Madonna was born on January 3rd, 1943 in the Philippines and immigrated to the United States in 1970 with her former husband Dr. Juan T. Aristorenas. A devout and active member of the Catholic Church, she regularly attended St. Mary’s in Savannah, Tennessee and later St. Mary’s in Jackson, Tennessee where she lived for the last five years. She graduated from St. Scholastica’s College, Manila with a degree in elementary education and later earned a second degree in social work from Lambuth College, which she put to use in her career at WTHC Pathways and Quinco Mental Health, helping many clients.

An avid cook, “Ma Donnie” was happiest when preparing and sharing Filipino meals with her family and many family friends. Her signature big-hearted laugh was a warm sound that brought joy and delight to everyone who had the fortune of knowing her generous, vivid spirit.

She is lovingly remembered by her five children, Juan Aristorenas, Jennifer Hamm, Jonathan Aristorenas, Judy Henry, and Hanna Dust; their spouses, Rhonda Aristorenas, Kreg Hamm, Kim Aristorenas, Joe Henry, and Doug Dust; her grandchildren, Lauren Jung, Andrew Aristorenas, Rachel Aristorenas, Harrison Hamm, Hudson Hamm, Jack Henry, and JP Henry; her grandchildren’s spouses and fiancés, Chris Jung, Emily Scott, and Austin Todd; her great-grandchildren Lexa Jung and Ivy Jung; and many nephews, nieces, cousins, sisters-in-law, other relatives, and friends.

She is predeceased by her parents, Pedro and Pilar Aragon, and her brothers, Pedrito “Bombit” Aragon, Arthur “Atoy” Aragon, Rafael “Johnboy” Aragon, and Danilo “Piwi” Aragon.
