Marianna Davis Nichols was born on July 11, 1958, in Savannah, Tennessee, to Frances Mae Christian Davis and the late Billy Frank Davis. She graduated from Hardin County High School in 1976 and received a Bachelor degree in Accounting from Ole Miss in the early 1980s.
On September 1, 1985, Marianna was united in marriage to Gregory Ray Nichols, who preceded her in death on March 25, 2021. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Adamsville, Tennessee. Marianna served as an accountant for the family-owned business, Davis Brothers Block Plant in Crump, Tennessee until it changed ownership. She later worked at Lowes in Savannah until her declining health led her into retirement.
Her weekends were filled with joy, often spent treasure hunting at yard sales in Florence, Alabama, alongside her dear friend Phyllis Poland. She found peace and happiness in her walks at Adamsville City Park. Known for her strength and vibrant spirit, Marianna touched the lives of those around her by living with grace and resilience. Marianna always saw the best in others and wanted people to see the best in her.
After a life full of love and dedication, Marianna peacefully departed this world on March 21, 2026, in Savannah, Tennessee, at the age of 67 years, 8 months, and 10 days. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Evan Nichols of Jackson, TN; mother, Frances Davis, brother, Kevin Davis and wife Donna of Savannah, TN and their children: Barrett Davis and wife Bess, Michelle Ivester and husband Taylor, Ben Davis; brother, Robert Davis and wife Kim of Savannah, TN and their children: Kaitlyn Qualls, Brooke Davis and husband Justin, Anna Davis; and a host of great nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
