Marie D. Crum Robertson

Mrs. Marie D. Crum Robertson, 83, of Middleton, departed this life on Friday night, May 19, 2023, at Pine Meadows Healthcare in Bolivar.

Born in McNairy County, she was the daughter of the late Hugh Ford Crum and Dollie Wilbanks Crum.  Mrs. Robertson was a caregiver for over 30 years and also worked in food service for several years.  A member of Grace Apostolic Church near Middleton, she lived in Nashville for 10 years before returning to live in Hardeman County over 40 years ago.  In her leisure time, she enjoyed gardening, working in her yard and crocheting.  Most of all, she loved her family and friends.

She leaves three daughters, Reba Porterfield and companion, Lee Allen, of  Walnut, MS, Lesa Ann Hughett of Saulsbury and, Sondra Smith of Charleston, SC; one son, Stanley Hodge and his wife, Judy, of Spring Branch, TX; one sister, Dorothy Moore of New Albany, MS; two brothers, Jimmy Crum of Brighton, TN and, David Crum and his wife, Barbara, of Tuscaloosa, AL; eight grandchildren, Stacey Porterfield of Walnut, Ginger Anderson (Bryan) of Corinth, Steven Porterfield (Kristy) of Walnut, Amy and Sarah Hughett, both of Saulsbury, Melissa Hodge of  Spring Branch, TX, Kimberly Quinn (Kevin) of Kissimmee, FL and, Christian Smith of Charleston, SC; nine great-grandchildren, Lillian Miller, Sophia and Gavin Quinn, Hannah Ross (Hunter), Levi Sides, Tinley and Christian Porterfield, Nash and Porter Anderson; and one great-great-grandchild, Haven Elam Ross.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, J. L. Hodge, Marvin Lanier and, Jerry Robertson; two sisters, Gay Patterson and Janice Smith; and, two brothers, J. C. Crum and U. H. Crum.
