Services for Marie S. Pugh, age 84, of Clifton, Tennessee will be Wednesday,September 9, 2009 at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church in Clifton, Tennessee with Phil Ross officiating. Burial will follow in the Clifton Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 8, 2009 from 6:00-9:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home in Waynesboro and Wednesday, September 9, 2009 from 9:00 am until service time at Clifton United Methodist Church.
She was born December 13, 1924 in Wayne County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Jim and Mirl Roberts Snodgrass. She departed this life Sunday,September 6, 2009 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Bruce Pugh; brother, Dick Snodgrass; sisters, Clara Self, Mary Martin, and Jimmie Ray. Mrs. Pugh was a member of Clifton United Methodist Church and a member of Clifton Order of Easter Star #355.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy Young of Lexa, AR and Ginger Long of Clifton, TN; grandchildren, Jimmy Young, Jason Young, Jeanne Young, and Lori Riley; great-grandchildren, Mallory Ford, Stephen Young, Jackson Young, Hannah Young, Will Riley, Lydia Riley, and Lylah Riley.
